A supple glove, new, inexperienced, untried, is poised; the thorny stem of the rose becomes a ring on the finger, piercing the skin and bleeding. Like the Yin/Yang symbol in stone there are light and dark aspects to virtually everything. Ideally the opposites come together in balance to make a harmonious whole, yet often there is only pretense or outward/superficial appearances covering a reality. Wisdom must temper perception. The moon, a symbol of the feminine, is cyclic, wax and wane, death and rebirth.
